I love my home state, and I know my fellow Oklahomans do too. That’s why I’ve been making these new pieces. I don’t really know what to call them–string art? wood sculptures? Either way they’re an ode to my favorite state and I hope you’ll like them.

I’m not putting these up on etsy, so if you want to order one, email me at lonechimney@gmail.com. Please specify your preferred color and know that each piece of wood will be different (they’re left overs from construction projects on the ranch–waste not want not!) Each piece is $25. dolly triangle bag set

it’s pretty darn cute and the vintage inspired print is the perfect throwback to the days when your mom cared about fashion as much as you do.  the dolly triangle bag set is different than our other triangle bag sets in that it only comes with a small and large bag.  tell mom to stash her make-up, toiletries, or anything else she can think of in these two bags.

alright, brace yourselves.  i’m about to show you a picture of a couple exclusive new prints for the triangle bags.  don’t go crazy now… there should be enough to go around.

first i’ll show you the zinnia print.  here we have the lavender colored option, but we also have a brownish eggplant version that i’ll post at a later date.

next is the exclusive peony print.  we don’t have much of this fabric, so numbers will be limited.  i had my mom make me the first prototype… you know, so i could carry it around and see if there was a response.

i love peonies.  i love the smell and i love how they look.  i also love how many artists choose to depict them.  the picture really doesn’t do the bag justice, but this is probably my favorite bag so far.

also, barrie has been working hard to get some new pillows up in the shop.  they are pretty awesome, and there’s quite a few of them, so i’ll show you one of my favorites.  it’s another version of the galuna pillow that i posted awhile ago, but the dimensions and colors are different.  so awesome.

first is the green spring triangle bag.  we sell it in one size, large (11″ x 8″) and it’s $24

the vibrant green background and the whimsical pinkish red stems and blooms are just the thing to ease you into spring fever.  like the other triangle bags, the large bag is perfect for toiletries or makeup and don’t forget it can be washed in the machine.  in fact, i have one of my large triangle bags in the wash right now because a bottle of top coat nail polish broke open and spilled all over the inside.  no big deal, it’ll wash out.  which reminds me of how awesome these bags are for all of your manicure and pedicure tools and trinkets.

next is a bag that i decided to name ‘dolly’ because it reminds me of good ole dolly parton. it’s feminine, and almost old south.  maybe i’m completely making these references up, but they sound good to me.

instead of the traditional grosgrain handle, brenda included a cream colored braided handle that lends a finishing touch to this vintage inspired gem.  the dolly triangle bag is being sold in size small (7″ x 5 1/2″) and large (11″ x 8″) and are $16 and $24 respectively, or $40 for the set.

both choices are just fine for this time of year so snatch ‘em up.

made with a fabric called “june song” by alexander henry, this triangle bag is fresh and spring-like, and the color palette is muted and a tad unexpected.  the triangle bags we sell are perfect for make-up and they come in three different sizes.  this is the large bag (11″x8″) and it comes as part of a set ($55).  we have the triangle bag in 4 different color schemes, so be sure to check the shop for the full range of patterns.

fabric: Denyse Schmidt's "Blue Ribbons"

brenda and i are crazy about this fabric, and she was just recently able to get more.  it’s called ‘blue ribbons” by denyse schmidt.  the inside is lined with a light, sweet, camel colored flannel:

i love the striations in the fabric, and the texture is so soft and cuddly, it’s like my kindle is being swaddled in a field of waving wheat (how oklahoma of me to say).

if you want a kindle as bad as i did, buy this cover, and then someone will have to get you the kindle to go along with it (sneaky, huh?)  we’ll let you know if we modify the shape or the type of closure.  and if you have any ideas that you think would make this product better, please, leave a comment!  we want your input.
